Lazarus Theatre Company are proud to announce that Tim McArthur makes his Lazarus debut playing the role of Azdak the Judge.

It’s such a honour and a privilege to be playing the part of Azdak in this exciting new production. In recent years my work as an actor has been dominated by comedy roles, so it’s great to get my teeth back into something darker and a little more challenging.” – Tim McArthur

Solo cabaret shows include: Don’t Tell Mama (New York); The Purcell Room; Union Theatre; Jermyn Street Theatre , Pizza On The Park and Theatre Lounge (Kuala Lumpur), Tim has also supported Graham Norton, Julian Clary and Bobby Davro. As Sister Mary McArthur appearances include: West End Eurovision; Edinburgh Festival Gilded Balloon; The Graham Norton Show (BBC1); Elton John’s Christmas Party, New Space Theatre 2 (Cape Town).
Tim currently hosts The Curtain Up Show (Resonance 104.4FM) 2014 and 2015 presenter of West End Wilma Awards and for 2 years Tim Hosted the Red Carpet at West End Eurovision.
Also making their Lazarus Debut, Ashleigh Cordery takes the role of Grusha, Jon Tozzi the role of Simon, Charlotte Knowles and Paula Brett take on the roles of Governors Wife and Nanny respectively. Grace Cheatle plays the role of Mother-in-law and Ludovica while Charles Warner, Adam Boyle, Rob Peacock and Simáo Ramos take on the roles of Adjuntant, Monk / Nephew, Governor and Jessup respectively.
Returning to the company after playing in our 2015 production of Tamburlaine the Great, Pauline Nakirya plays the role of Aniko and Tom Woodward plays the role of Lavrenti.
Brecht’s Caucasian Chalk Circle
A girl must make a choice… to take the child and run, or leave him behind in the fury of civil war.
Brecht’s thrilling and revolutionary play follows a young girl who makes the biggest decision of her life. Set against the back drop of war and mutiny, Grusha seeks refuge and asylum. Her crime: saving the son of the fleeing establishment. Her reward: The Chalk Circle.
