West End stars, Kerry Ellis and Louise Dearman are heading to London’s Prince Edward Theatre this Sunday (27th September) to perform, Kerry Ellis and Louise Dearman Live In Concert…Together; their first concert together since leaving college. The pair met twenty years ago at summer school before training together at Laine Theatre Arts. Between them they have played nearly every iconic leading female role including Elphaba in Wicked, Nancy in Oliver, Eva Peron in Evita, Grizabella in Cats to name but a few but their careers haven’t allowed them to perform together….until now.
The concert promises a magical evening of iconic duets sung by two of the best leading ladies the West End has ever seen. It will showcase their powerhouse vocals, feature a live band and will be musically directed and arranged by Craig Adams. The set list has been largely kept under wraps but is likely to feature a mix of genre. As well as performing their single, Let Me Be Your Star from the TV series, Smash, Kerry and Louise will sing the iconic duet I Know Him So Well from Chess, 1968 Aretha Franklin hit Natural Woman and are bound to delight fans with a Wicked treat!
Kerry commented, “Agreeing the set list has been the toughest bit so far. We just love singing together and have tried out so many possibilities. We have some real treats in store and hope the audience will love them too!”
Louise added, “We’ve been talking about doing a concert together for years and have had a ball preparing for this. We’re so excited and I can’t believe there are only a few days to go until we take to the stage at the gorgeous Prince Edward Theatre!”
