Wicked’s EMMA HATTON flies into the Pheasantry for one night only

Following her much-acclaimed, sell-out show at Kettner’s, Emma Hatton brings her unique blend of jazz and soul back to Pizza Express on 1st May to take Chelsea’s Pheasantry by storm, as part of the London Festival of Cabaret.

Currently starring as Elphaba in the West End production of ‘Wicked’, Emma has also been making waves on the jazz scene, releasing a Christmas EP ‘Merry Christmas, Darling’ which reached Number 1 in the iTunes jazz chart and featured a duet with the brilliant Anthony Strong. Her track ‘Mad About the Boy’ is the most downloaded on the London Gay Big Band’s album ‘Brave’, recorded at Abbey Road.

For her new show, Emma is focusing on the singer-songwriters that have so inspired her, including Carole King, Sara Bareilles and Eva Cassidy, to name but a few. Emma’s connection to the genius of their work is what prompted her to make this the theme of her Pheasantry performance. She said “Music is what drives me, I live and breathe it. Some of the songs I’ve chosen for the evening are those that have touched me in such a way that I feel compelled to share my interpretation of them in the hope that I can communicate my joy of their music to everyone.’

Thousands have seen Emma star in ‘Wicked’, but this is a unique opportunity to catch the diminutive singer with the powerhouse voice up close and personal, along with her band and special guests, for one night only. Tickets, priced at just £15, are on sale for the 8pm performance -doors open at 6pm to enable plenty of opportunity to fully savour the tempting delights of the Pizza Express menu.
