The critically acclaimed production of Green Day’s hit musical, AMERICAN IDIOT, which stars X Factor finalist Amelia Lily and double platinum selling artist Newton Faulkner, closes at the Arts Theatre on 25 September 2016 so this is your last chance to catch it. The show will also be performing a special ‘Rock-A-Long’ performance for one night only on Thursday 8 September 2016.
Its hit songs include “Wake Me Up When September Ends”, “Boulevard of Broken Dreams”, “21 Guns”, “Holiday” and the blockbuster title track “American Idiot” from Green Day’s 2004 Grammy Award-winning, multi-platinum album. Also included are several songs from Green Day’s 2009 release “21st Century Breakdown”, and an unreleased love song, “When It’s Time.”
Alongside Amelia Lily (Whatsername) and Newton Faulkner (Johnny), the rest of the cast includes Cellen Chugg Jones (Theo), Jemma Geanaus (Alysha), Alexis Gerred (Tunny), Llandyll Gove (Gerard), Karina Hind (Libby), Emma Housley (Heather), Lawrence Libor (Swing), Lucas Rush (St Jimmy), Alice Stokoe (Extraordinary Girl) and Matt Thorp (Will).
