The From Page to Stage season of new musical theatre announces casting and creative details for its four showcases including Lin-Manuel Miranda’s 21 Chump Street
Mark Anderson (The Toxic Avenger, The Book of Mormon), Emma Kingston (In the Heights, Les Miserables), Sarah Earnshaw (Spamalot, Jekyll and Hyde, Wicked) and Madalena Alberto (Cats, Evita, Piaf) join the cast of From Page to Stage 2016 at Tristan Bates Theatre this autumn in showcases directed by Robert McQueen, Bronagh Lagan and Amy Anders Corcoran

Pollyanna
Book and lyrics by Steven Gallagher and music by Linda Barnett.

The Toyboy Diaries
based on Wendy Salisbury’s book The Toyboy Diaries: Sexploits of an Older Woman, adapted for the stage by Simon Warne and Wendy Salisbury, with music and lyrics by Andy Collyer.
It is directed by Bronagh Lagan (The Rise and Fall of Little Voice, Chipping Norton/Greenwich Theatre; The Stationmaster, From Page to Stage 2015; the forthcoming Promises, Promises, Southwark Playhouse) with musical direction by Tamara Saringer (Vanities, Trafalgar Studios; Savage, Arts Theatre; In Response, St. James Theatre)

It is directed by Bronagh Lagan (The Rise and Fall of Little Voice, Chipping Norton/Greenwich Theatre; The Stationmaster, From Page to Stage 2015; the forthcoming Promises, Promises, Southwark Playhouse) with musical direction by Ben Ferguson (The Adding Machine, Finborough Theatre; Ragtime, Bishopsgate Institute; Company, Royal Academy of Music)
Cast includes Sarah Earnshaw (Spamalot, UK Tour; Jekyll and Hyde, UK Tour; Wicked, West End) as Kate.
21 Chump Street
European premiere of Lin-Manuel Miranda’s (Hamilton, In the Heights) 14-minute musical.
It is directed by Amy Anders Corcoran (Little Women, Smokey Joe’s Cafe, She Loves Me – USA; currently Associate Director for Disney’s Freaky Friday under Chris Ashley) with musical direction by Luke Di Silva (Les Miserables, Sweeney Todd, Spamalot – New Zealand)
Cast includes Danny Black (Altar Boyz, Papermill Theatre – US; Hello My Baby, Goodspeed – US; Sister Act, Troika – US) as the Narrator, Jordan Castle (Merrily We Roll Along, Twelve Angry Jurors, Beauty and the Beast, American Musical Theatre Academy) as Tevin, Jason Kajdi (West Side Story, Kilworth House; Gifted, Theatre 503; Crazy For You, Bird College) as Derek, Emma Kingston (In the Heights, Southwark Playhouse and Kings Cross Theatre; Les Miserables, Queens Theatre; Priscilla Queen of the Desert, UK Tour) as Naomi, Alessandro Lubrano (Irving Berlin’s Face The Music, All Star Productions; Bring It On – The Musical, PPA; Into the Woods, PPA) as Justin and Olly McCauley (Into the Woods, In The Heights, Guys and Dolls, Mountview) as Andrew.
As previously announced, casting for the three semi-staged readings includes Whatsonstage Award nominee Beverley Klein (Platonov, Ivanov, National Theatre; Candide; ENO), Ian Reddington (EastEnders; Coronation Street), Gerard McCarthy (Beautiful Thing; Hollyoaks), Jodie Jacobs (Rock of Ages, Shaftesbury Theatre; Legally Blonde, Kilworth House) and Union J’s Jaymi Hensley.
