Now in its record breaking 32nd year, Cameron Mackintosh is delighted to announce cast changes for “LES MISÉRABLES” at the Queen’s Theatre.
From Monday 5 December Simon Gleeson will play ‘Jean Valjean’; Lucy O’Byrne will play ‘Fantine’ and Hollie O’Donoghue will play ‘Eponine’. From Monday 12 December Paul Wilkins joins the company as ‘Marius’ with Charlotte Kennedy making her debut as ‘Cosette’ having made her West End debut in Les Misérables last year. Continuing in their roles are David Langham as ‘Thénardier’; Katy Secombe as ‘Madame Thenardier’ and Chris Cowley as ‘Enjolras’.
From Monday 9 January 2017 to 22 April 2017 Hayden Tee will join the company to play ‘Javert’. Jeremy Secomb is taking a sabbatical from the show to perform as ‘Sweeney Todd’ in the off-Broadway revival of “Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street” following successful runs at Harrington Pie and Mash Shop in 2014 and in the West End in 2015.

Simon Gleeson has previously played the role of ‘Jean Valjean’ in Les Misérables in Manila, Singapore and on the Australian tour, winning the Helpmann Award for Best Male Actor in a Musical in 2014. Previous West End theatre credits include: “Mamma Mia!”; “Eureka”; “The Far Pavilions” and “Imagine This”. His other theatre credit include: “Chess” and “Love Never Dies”.
Lucy O’Byrne is making her West End debut as ‘Fantine’. Her previous theatre credits include ‘Maria’ in the UK Tour of “The Sound of Music”; “Therese Raquin” at the Park Theatre and “Fiddler on the Roof”.
Hollie O’Donoghue joined the ensemble of Les Misérables in 2015. Her previous theatre credits include: “The Commitments” at the Palace Theatre; “Peter Pan” at The Castle, Wellingborough; “Ragtime” at the Landor Theatre, London and “Bright Lights Big City” at The Bridewell.
Paul Wilkins has previously played the role of ‘Marius’ in “Les Misérables” in Manila and Singapore and is currently playing the role in Dubai. He made his West End debut in “Les Misérables” in 2015.
Charlotte Kennedy made her West End debut in “Les Misérables” in 2015. She has also appeared in “Elaine Paige in Concert” at the Royal Albert Hall.
Hayden Tee has just finished playing the role of ‘Javert’ in Les Misérables on Broadway and will be performing the same role when the production opens in Dubai in November. He returns to the West End production of Les Misérables having previously played the role of ‘Marius’. His other theatre credits include: “South Pacific”; “Little Women”; “Titanic”; “Cats” and “Into the Woods”.
David Langham’s most recent theatre credits include “Wendy & Peter Pan” for the Royal Shakespeare Company; “The Light Princess” at the National Theatre and the UK tours of “Oliver!” and “Spamalot.” His TV and film credits include: “Doctor Who” and “The Phantom of the Opera”.
Chris Cowley most recently appeared in “The Last Five Years” at the New Wolsey Theatre, Ipswich. His other theatre credits include: “Wicked” at the Apollo Victoria Theatre and “Saturday Night Fever” at the English Theatre Frankfurt.
Katy Secombe most recently appeared as ‘Brenda’ in “I Can’t Sing! The X Factor Musical” at the London Palladium. She previously played the role of ‘Madame Thénardier’ in “Les Misérables” in 2012 opposite Matt Lucas. Other theatre credits include: “The Lyons” at the Menier Chocolate Factory and ‘Rosie’ in “Mamma Mia!” at the Prince of Wales Theatre.
