West End leading lady LIZ ROBERTSON brings her Cabaret LERNER WITHOUT LOEWE to The Delfont Room

Liz Robertson Delfont Room

Distinguished as one of Britain’s most loved leading ladies, LIZ ROBERTSON star of My Fair Lady, Phantom of the Opera and Love Never Dies brings her renowned cabaret Lerner without Loewe to The Delfont Room this June.

In the lead up to Lerner’s centenary in 2018, this affectionate tribute to her late husband illustrates that although his partnership with Loewe is recognised as one of the great creative powerhouses, Alan also wrote shows with many other composers. Some of which include On a Clear Day and Carmelina with BURTON LANE, Love Life with KURT WEILL, Dance A Little Closer with CHARLES STROUSE and 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue with LEONARD BERNSTEIN.

Liz met Alan Jay Lerner, who was to become her husband, when she played Eliza in Cameron Mackintosh’s first revival of My Fair Lady. She has also appeared in Song and Dance, Side by Side by Sondheim, The Sound of Music, A Little Night Music, Hairspray, The Phantom of the Opera and Love Never Dies.

“Vocally demanding songs that are delivered with ease and attention to detail.
It is a wonderful feeling you get when you are in the presence of living legends who come on stage and share personal experiences and anecdotes about legends who are not with us anymore.”

Liz Robertson will play on Sunday 4th June – 5pm at The Delfont Room, Prince of Wales Theatre.
