In the lead up to Dementia Action Week 2019, The Dot Collective present One Hundred Trillion, raising positive awareness around dementia. This unique immersive theatrical experience celebrates memory and experience, at Old Vic Workrooms Tuesday 7th – Saturday 11th May 2019. These show have Disabled access and are dementia-friendly open performances.
Inspired by workshops with dementia groups, One Hundred Trillion brings to life their stories, leading audiences through a world of memories in four promenade plays: Frames, written by Chantelle Dusette, I Could Have Danced All Night by Margaret Perry, Lucy Grace’s Topsoil, and London Bus by Lily Bevan. Running alongside the show are workshops for dementia groups, as well as intergenerational groups with schoolchildren, allowing participants to contribute to the growing, living sets of Frames and Topsoil.
As a charity, The Dot Collective aims to create positive memory experiences for those with dementia, by creating professional theatre both for and with them. One Hundred Trillion raises awareness for dementia while reshaping the way we look at the disease.
