TINA – THE TINA TURNER MUSICAL announces West End closure

TINA – THE TINA TURNER MUSICAL has announced that it will close in London’s West End at the Aldwych Theatre on 13 September 2025 after seven wonderful years celebrating the life of Tina Turner. The global singing superstar, Tina Turner sadly died in May 2023.

The previously announced Karis Anderson and Fleur East will alternate the role of Tina Turner from 24 June until the West End show closes in September.

Tina – the Tina Turner Musical began its UK & Ireland tour in March 2025 and will continue to travel to Nutbush and beyond.

From her humble beginnings in Nutbush Tennessee to becoming the Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll, Tina Turner’s journey is nothing short of legendary. TINA – The Tina Turner Musical brings her inspiring story to life through electrifying, world-class performances set to the pulse-pounding soundtrack of her iconic hits. Featuring unforgettable anthems such as River Deep, Mountain High, We Don’t Need Another Hero (Thunderdome), Proud Mary, The Best, What’s Love Got To Do With It and the timeless Proud Mary, this show is an exhilarating celebration of the artist we all know and love.

The original London cast recording of TINA – THE TINA TURNER MUSICAL is out now featuring Adrienne Warren, who played Tina Turner in the show in the West End and on Broadway.

Adrienne Warren is vocally outstanding on this album, sounding incredibly similar to the lady herself. With hit songs like Nutbush City Limits, Private Dancer, What’s Love Got To Do With It, River Deep Mountain High, Proud Mary and of course Simply The Best, this original cast recording is a brilliant tribute to Tina Turner’s incredible catalogue of music.
