BEST SEATS AT THEATRE ROYAL DRURY LANE

Theatre Royal Drury Lane has four seating levels: Stalls, Royal Circle, Grand Circle and Balcony, plus a number of side boxes including the Prince’s and Royal Boxes. With nearly 2,000 seats, it’s one of the largest and grandest theatres in the West End.

STALLS

The Stalls hold 737 seats and put you closest to the stage, ideal for catching the detail in a big production’s staging. Central rows give the best overall view.

ROYAL CIRCLE

The Royal Circle holds 457 seats and offers an excellent overview of the stage. Front and middle rows are the pick of the level.

GRAND CIRCLE

The Grand Circle holds 408 seats and sits higher up at a lower price, with a clear view given the theatre’s grand scale.

BALCONY

The Balcony holds 371 seats and is the highest, most affordable level. It’s a steep climb, but still a solid view of the stage in this large auditorium.

HOW TO GET TO THEATRE ROYAL DRURY LANE

ABOUT THEATRE ROYAL DRURY LANE

Theatre Royal Drury Lane sits on the oldest continuously used theatre site in London, with four buildings having stood here since 1663. The current building dates from 1812, designed by Benjamin Dean Wyatt, and in 1817 it became the first British theatre to be gaslit throughout. Its stage has hosted legendary performers over the centuries, from Nell Gwyn and David Garrick to Edmund Kean and Dan Leno.

After a £4 million restoration, the theatre reopened in July 2021 with Frozen, which played here until 2024, followed by The Tempest and Much Ado About Nothing. It’s now hosting a run of shorter engagements, starting with The Last Ship. The theatre is owned and operated by LW Theatres, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s theatre group.
