Chariots of Fire Announces First Ever UK Tour – Coming Autumn 2026

The iconic story of Chariots of Fire is hitting the road for the very first time.
Bill Kenwright Ltd has officially fired the starting pistol on the first national tour of Mike Bartlett’s acclaimed stage adaptation of Chariots of Fire, bringing this inspirational story to theatres across the UK from autumn 2026.
A Multi-Award-Winning Story Brought to Life on Stage
Based on the multi Oscar and BAFTA-winning film, Chariots of Fire tells the extraordinary true story of Eric Liddell and Harold Abrahams, two athletes chasing glory at the 1924 Paris Olympics. One runs for the glory of God; the other to fight prejudice and prove his worth. Their powerful journeys celebrate honour, belief and the unshakeable pursuit of excellence.
This uplifting tale of courage and determination features Vangelis’ iconic score, bringing audiences right into the heart of the race.
A Major UK Tour Led by Roxana Silbert
For the first time ever, the stage adaptation will tour the UK, directed by the acclaimed Roxana Silbert.

Tour Dates and Opening Venue
The brand-new production will open at the Theatre Royal Windsor from Thursday 3 September to Saturday 12 September 2026.
From there, it races on to the Edinburgh King’s Theatre from 15–19 September, before continuing its UK journey.
