See West End stars Oliver Tompsett and Alice Fearn this August Bank Holiday weekend at Tithe Barn, Lenham in Kent.
This coming August Bank Holiday weekend, West End stars Oliver Tompsett and Alice Fearn will join forces on Sunday 30th at the new, intimate music festival, Green Room, alongside MD Steve Ridley (fresh from his hit Barbican show High Society) and a band made up of some of the West End’s best musicians from shows such as Cabaret, My Neighbour Totoro and Into the Woods.
Green Room, launched in September 2023, is inspired by a passion for live music, beautiful spaces, local produce and a drive to keep music alive. The idea is to bring world-class performers into more intimate performance spaces. And the festival is held at the most breathtaking medieval Tithe Barn in the heart of the Kent countryside.
In the current climate with such dramatic cuts to the funding of the Arts, it might seem like a crazy time to be pursuing a new festival, but we are committed to the idea that ‘if you want something doing….’ To this end, we are completely self funded and relying on the belief that there is an instinctive love, desire and need for more live music and it is this, plus supporting local businesses, that will make the festival a success.
The Tithe Barn is a remarkable historic structure that dates back to the 14th century. With its striking timber-framed design and expansive interior space, it served as a crucial centre for storing and distributing tithes collected from the local community. Today, it stands as a cherished heritage site, offering visitors a glimpse into Kent’s agricultural past.
A truly special and unique experience.
