Back to the Future The Musical: Olly Dobson & Ben Joyce Return as Marty McFly for One-Night-Only Celebration

Back to the Future The Musical is marking the 40th anniversary of the original film in style.

On Wednesday 3 December, former stars Olly Dobson and Ben Joyce will return to the Adelphi Theatre for a special performance — joining current Marty McFly Caden Brauch on stage.

All three actors will share the iconic role throughout the evening, giving fans a once-in-a-lifetime chance to see three Martys in one show.

A Special Anniversary Performance

Olly Dobson, who originated the role in the West End and received an Olivier Award nomination, said:

“Originating the role of Marty is undeniably the highlight of my career… Let’s celebrate the 40th anniversary of the film with this very special performance.”

Ben Joyce, who earned a WhatsOnStage Award nomination for his takeover of Marty, added:

“It’s such a thrill to return… It’s not often you get three Martys on one stage!”

About the Returning Stars

Olly Dobson is known for roles at the Old Vic, Young Vic, Chichester Festival Theatre, and in major productions such as Bat Out of Hell, Matilda, and Carrie.

Ben Joyce has appeared in Shucked, Jersey Boys, and will soon star in the world premiere of The Greatest Showman musical.

About the Musical

Based on the legendary 1985 Universal/Amblin film, the show follows teenager Marty McFly as he travels back to 1955 in Doc Brown’s time-travelling DeLorean and must help his parents fall in love to save his own future.

The production is directed by Tony Award winner John Rando, with an award-winning creative team behind the sets, sound, lighting, choreography, and illusions.
