How to get cheap London Theatre Tickets

One of the questions I get asked the most is ‘how do I find cheap London Theatre tickets’? There are several answers to this question but today I want to talk about the benefits of looking at the different price brackets on ticketing websites.

Always think about the cheaper seats, directly next to the more expensive ones – the view may not be much different but the price can be.

Take a look at this example of a seating plan for the West End production of The Book Of Mormon. In the section that is circled, you can see the prices for each colour of seat and the prices on the official website.

I’ve added images from the brilliant website SeatPlan, which is a website where people upload pictures of the view from their seats so people can check out the view from different places before they book tickets. You’ll notice that there can be very little difference in view sometimes, if you look at the cheaper seats directly next to a more expensive ones.

In another example, Six the Musical, you can find tickets in four different price brackets, just from the first five or six rows of the auditorium. The front row may be restricted in view because of the high stage, but if you are potentially saving up to £30, to sit just a few rows closer, perhaps it is worth the neck ache.

So that is just one of many ways you can get cheap London Theatre tickets.

Always consider how much the person sitting next to you paid for their ticket – you might find they paid less than you did for the almost same view!
