Ghosts – A new dark comedy drama by Peter Martyn

Greenwich Theatre Studio presents the world premiere of Ghosts

This August, Greenwich Theatre Studio presents the world premiere of Ghosts, a gripping 75-minute dark comedy drama exploring the raw mechanics of male conflict resolution under conditions of total isolation.

Set on a remote, unforgiving island, the play strips away the safety nets of modern society to examine what happens when two men are forced to face each other – and themselves – with nowhere to run.

This strictly limited two – night studio run stars James Turner (Executive Director of the Greenwich Theatre) and professional actor Nick Thomas. Serving as an intimate, developmental first iteration, this exclusive staging offers audiences and critics a first look at a powerful new text before it scales up to the Greenwich Theatre’s 400+ seat main auditorium early next year.

Synopsis and Themes

Synopsis: Ex–reality TV star Johnny Gold, living in self-imposed exile on a remote island, is visited by millionaire adventurer Kerrigan. One wishes to leave, the other wishes to stay. Neither can get what he wants without the cooperation of the other.

Key Themes: The transience of success and financial gain and the importance of friendship.

Ghosts plays at Greenwich Theatre on 19th and 20th August 2026. Get tickets here.
