New cast announced for HAMILTON at Victoria Palace Theatre

From Monday 16 June 2025 a new cast will take the stage for the multi-award-winning West End production of HAMILTON

Hamilton is now playing at London’s Victoria Palace Theatre until 28 March 2026

 

Who’s in the West End cast of HAMTILTON?

Bente Mulan will join the company as Eliza Hamilton, with Jonathan Andrew Hume as George Washington, Yeukayi Ushe as Marquis De Lafayette/Thomas Jefferson and Jasmine Jia Yung Shen as Peggy Schuyler/Maria Reynolds.

Joining the ensemble will be Yuki Abe, Zera Aitken, Joshua Clemetson, Luca Dinardo, Olivia Kate Holding, Sergi Ibenez, Lily Laight, Aiden Nightingale, Tim Nutt, Joshian Angelo Omaña, Kiran Patel, Liam Raven, Aharon Rayner, Daisy Ward and Natasha Wilde.

Continuing in the show will be Alex Sawyer as Alexander Hamilton, Jay Perry as Aaron Burr, Emily-Mae as Angelica Schuyler, Jordan Castle as Hercules Mulligan/James Madison, Jordan Benjamin as John Laurens/Philip Hamilton and Daniel Boys as King George III. At certain performances, the role of Alexander Hamilton will be played by Adam J. Bernard. Continuing in the company will be Richard Appiah-Sarpong, Turrell Barrett-Wallace, Roxanne Couch, Nicola Espallardo, Manaia Glassey-OhlsonJack Harrison-Cooper, Nicolais-Andre KerryElla Kora and Paulo Teixeira.

HAMILTON has book, music and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, is directed by Thomas Kail, with choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler, musical supervision and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire and is based on Ron Chernow’s biography of Alexander HamiltonHAMILTON features scenic design by David Korins, costume design by Paul Tazewell, lighting design by Howell Binkley, sound design by Nevin Steinberg and hair and wig design by Charles G. LaPointe.

What is HAMILTON about?

HAMILTON is the story of America’s Founding Father Alexander Hamilton, an immigrant from the West Indies who became George Washington’s right-hand man during the Revolutionary War and helped shape the very foundations of the America we know today. The score blends hip-hop, jazz, blues, rap, R&B and Broadway – the story of America then, as told by America now.

Bente Mulan’s (Eliza Hamilton) theatre credits include Alternate Elsa in Disney’s Frozen, Swing and understudy Amneris in Disney’s Aida, Ensemble and first understudy Jasmine in Disney’s Aladdin and Thea in Spring Awakening, all in The Netherlands. Her screen credits include Lottie Bell in Wonka, Lion in Dee & Friends in Oz and Princess Yue in Avatar: The Last Airbender – live action.

Jonathan Andrew Hume (George Washington) can be seen in the UK premiere of Shucked at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre. His other credits include Guys & Dolls at Bridge Theatre, Come From Away at the Phoenix Theatre, for which he was nominated for Best British Actor in a Musical at the Black British Theatre Awards, The Third Man at the Menier Chocolate Factory, and The Lion King at the Lyceum Theatre and Sands Theatre, Singapore.

Yeukayi Ushe’s (Marquis De Lafayette/Thomas Jefferson) West End stage credits include The Lion King at the Lyceum Theatre, Motown the Musical at the Shaftesbury Theatre, and The Book of Mormon at the Prince of Wales Theatre. His other credits include Disney’s Aladdin, Kinky Boots, Wonderland, and Avenue Q, all on UK tours.

Jasmine Jia Yung Shen (Peggy Schuyler/Maria Reynolds) returns to Hamilton having been a Standby Schuyler Sister in the Original UK & Ireland Tour company. Her other theatre credits include Aragon in SIX The Musical for Norwegian Cruise Line, Mamma Mia! UK and International tour, and On Hostile Ground at the Royal & Derngate Theatre.

Alex Sawyer’s (Alexander Hamilton) theatre credits include Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead for the Old Vic, Girl from the North Country at the Noël Coward Theatre, Pride and Prejudice for Nottingham Playhouse and Alice in Wonderland for Bolton Octagon. His television credits include Get Shorty, The End of the F**king World, Harlots, House of Anubis, Supertato, Father Brown, Eve and The White Princess. His debut solo EP as a singer/songwriter and rapper, “The Illusion of Perfect”, is available on streaming platforms.

Jay Perry (Aaron Burr) returned to the company of Hamilton at the Victoria Palace, having previously joined in 2022. His further theatre credits include Back To The Future at the Adelphi Theatre, Sylvia at the Old Vic, Motown the Musical at the Shaftesbury Theatre and Beautiful: The Carole King Musical at the Aldwych Theatre. Jay can currently be seen in the new Disney+ series The Ballad of Renegade Nell.

Emily-Mae (Angelica Schuyler) was last seen as Nikki Marron in the UK and Ireland tour of The Bodyguard. Her further theatre credits include the Original West End cast of Frozen at Theatre Royal Drury Lane, City of Angels at the Garrick Theatre and The Producers at the Royal Exchange Theatre.

Jordan Castle’s (Hercules Mulligan/James Madison) theatre credits include Guys & Dolls at the Bridge Theatre, A Christmas Carol at the Hull Truck Theatre, the European tour of The Rocky Horror Show as Eddie/Dr. Scott, The Pirate Queen at the London Coliseum and The Light in the Piazza at the Royal Festival Hall London, Los Angeles Opera and Chicago Lyric Opera.

Jordan Benjamin (John Laurens/Philip Hamilton) most recently originated the role of Dom Fraser in The Little Big Things at @sohoplace. Further theatre credits include Goldie Wilson/Marvin Berry in Back To The Future at the Adelphi Theatre, Rain in Rain and Zoe Save the World at Jermyn Street Theatre, Hairspray at the London Coliseum.

Daniel Boys (King George III) joins the London cast of Hamilton having recently played the role of King George III in the Original UK & Ireland Tour company. His other West End credits include Falsettos at The Other Palace, The Boys in the Band at the Vaudeville Theatre, Spamalot at the Playhouse Theatre, Avenue Q at the Noel Coward Theatre and RENT at the Prince of Wales Theatre. He has appeared in the national and European tours of The War of the Worlds, Nativity! The Musical, Grease and West Side Story. In concert he has appeared in Treason at Theatre Royal Drury Lane, The Pirate Queen at the London Coliseum, Tommy at the Prince Edward Theatre and Disney’s Enchanted Evening at Hyde Park. On television he has appeared in Netflix’s Obsession, ITV’s Unforgotten and Endeavor and the BBC’s Life After Life, EastEnders, Holby City and Any Dream Will Do.

Adam J. Bernard’s (Alternate Alexander Hamilton) theatre credits include the role of George Treadwell and others in The Drifter’s Girl at The Garrick Theatre, a production he co-created, as well as Jimmy ‘Thunder’ Early in Dreamgirls at the Savoy Theatre, for which he won an Olivier Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Musical.
