Let The Right One In is coming to Underbelly Boulevard, Soho from 5-23 May 2026.

Let the Right One In is an enchanting, brutal vampire myth and coming-of-age love story. Based on the best-selling Swedish novel by John Ajvide Lindqvist and Tomas Alfredson’s award-winning film, this stage-adaptation has been written by Jack Thorne, writer of Adolescence and This Is England, and directed by Olivier and UK Theatre Award winning Director James Dacre.

BAFTA-winning dramatist and NYT alum Jack Thorne (Adolescence, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Enola Holmes) adapts John Ajvide Lindqvist’s original vampire novel and Tomas Alfredson’s iconic film for the stage.

Directed by Olivier and UK Theatre Award winning Director James Dacre, in association with Marla Rubin Productions Ltd.

Featuring 18 of Britain’s most talented young performers from the NYT REP Company, whose graduates include Gotham award-winner Ṣọpẹ́ Dìrísù, double Scottish BAFTA-winner Lauren Lyle (Karen Pirie) and Ian Charleson award-winner Francesca Amewudah-Rivers.

Let the Right One In is part of National Youth Theatre’s Love Bites season, also featuring Dracula, during the pioneering youth arts charity’s 70th Anniversary year.

About The Show

Oskar is a bullied, lonely teenage boy, living with his mother on a housing estate at the edge of town, when a spate of sinister killings rock the neighbourhood. Eli is the young girl who has just moved in next door.

She doesn’t go to school and never leaves the flat by day. Sensing in each other a kindred spirit, the two become devoted friends. What Oskar doesn’t know is that Eli has been a teenager for a very long time…

ACCESSIBILITY

All performances of Let the Right One In are Relaxed Horror. This is an experiment in access.

We will take a relaxed approach to movement and noise in the audience. Latecomers are admitted, and you are free to leave the performance space and come back in. Ear defenders and ear plugs will be available for audiences.

Chill Out Spaces will be available for those who need to take a break before and/or during the performance.

Visual Cue Seats are available to book for every performance. These seats are fixed seats in the auditorium with a light positioned close to the seats. The Visual Cues will offer advance warning of moments of high tension or sudden changes such as; sudden blackout, jump scares, loud noises etc. A Visual Cue Guide will be shared with audiences requesting these seats in advance of the performance.

The performance on Saturday, 16 May at 2pm will be Captioned in English.

The performance on Tuesday, 19 May at 7pm will be Audio Described. A free Touch Tour is available before this performance. Please note that places are limited. Contact our Box Office to book your place on the details below.
