A host of Scottish West End musical performers are set to descend on Larbert for the third “A West End Christmas In Falkirk”!
Falkirk bairn and west end performer Kieran Brown will bring a flurry of festive fun to the Dobbie Hall on Sunday 16th December as he presents his third “A West End Christmas In Falkirk”. He will be joined by a selection of Scottish chums who have all played leading roles in London’s West End, including shows such as “Les Miserables”, “We Will Rock You”, “Wicked”, “The Phantom Of the Opera” and more.
2 performances of the show will take place, at 2.30pm and 7.30pm
Joining Kieran again this year after almost brining the house down last time round, are Donna Hazelton & Sarah Galbraith! Fife born Donna was the winner of Channel 4’s “Musicality” programme and went on to play leading roles in “Chicago”, “The Sound Of Music” and “Oliver” among many others. American actress Sarah Galbraith (now a Falkirk Bairn herself!) will also be joining in the fun again (evening show only). Sarah’s previous US and West End credits include Christine in “The Phantom of the Opera”, “Chess” and “Annie Get Your Gun”. Sarah will be making a mad dash to join us for the evening show from Pitlochry Theatre, where she will be playing the role of the Glinda The Good, in “The Wizard Of Oz” over Christmas!
Performing at the Dobbie for the first time will be west end stars Matthew McKenna and Lisa Anne-Wood! Glasgow born and trained Matthew’s numerous credits include “We Will Rock You”, “Starlight Express”, “Sunset Boulevard”, “The Rocky Horror Show”, “42nd Street” and recently co-starred in “Titanic” with Kieran. Scottish born Lisa’s previous credits include Cosette in “Les Miserables”, Christine Daae in “The Phantom Of the Opera” and recently played Susan in Stephen Sondheim’s “Company” in Aberdeen.
The show will feature a special performance from the Stenhouse School Of Dance and showcase students from Larbert High School.
One more very special surprise guest act will be announced closer to the day!
Niall Bailey (who hails from Hawick), west end MD and senior musical director at the renowned Guildford School Of Acting, will be returning to tickle the ivories as musical director.
Local small business owners will once again be invited to set up stalls as part of our Christmas Market. The event is BYOB, though a tuck shop selling a small selection of soft drinks and nibbles will be available on the day. Paper cups will also be provided.
As well as a magical concert full of Christmas and musical theatre classics, we will also be raising money and donations for the Falkirk Food Bank (https://falkirk.foodbank.org.uk/about/) with a spectacular raffle and collection. Falkirk Food Bank provides much needed support to an ever increasing number of families and individuals. Last year they fed 6522 families in the Falkirk area. The last year alone has already seen a 19% increase in people applying for help.
Tickets are priced at £15 and can be booked online (+booking fee). Table (floor level) seats are strictly limited. Balcony seats are unreserved and can also be purchased at Grangemouth Post Office (no booking fee). Please note there is no disabled access to the balcony.
