‘Acting for Others Presents…’ is a brand new podcast pairing up some of the finest acting treasures in the UK from Dame Judi Dench and David Tennant to rising stars Paapa Essiedu (I May Destroy You) and Olly Alexander (It’s A Sin).
Listeners will also expect to hear from the multi award-winning actress Samantha Bond, who will introduce and close each episode, as well as music written by the Ivor Novello award-winning songwriter Dan Gillespie Sells.
This first season will include six weekly episodes featuring two actors from different walks of life, some meeting for the first time others catching up with old friends. Listeners will hear Olly Alexander reminiscing about running around Judi Dench’s garden to David Tennant talking to Paapa Essiedu about the James Bond rumours – expect to hear everything about their lives and experiences in the industry from their highs, lows and everything in between.

The podcast is commissioned and curated by Acting for Others; a charity that works hard to help support the theatre industry by providing both financial and emotional support to all UK theatre workers, from the talented and dedicated production crews, front of house staff, set designers, actors and many more. All revenue generated by this podcast will be distributed to those in-need theatre workers through the network of 14 member charities.
