Penguin Random House is delighted to be publishing DEAR EVAN HANSEN: THE NOVEL, a sharply funny and poignant novel which will expand upon the story and characters made famous by the six-time Tony Award-winning (including: Best Musical, Best Book, and Best Score) Broadway musical of the same name, set to hit the West End in 2019.
The book was acquired by Holly Harris, Editorial Director, Penguin Random House Children’s, who bought UK and Commonwealth rights in one book. Steven Levenson is represented by WME, Benj Pasek & Justin Paul are represented by CAA, and all three are represented by Shreck, Rose, Dapello, Adams, Berlin & Dunham LLC. The deal with PRH was brokered by Laura Bonner and Siobhan O’Neill of WME.
DEAR EVAN HANSEN: THE NOVEL will release in hardcover and ebook in October 2018, and will be simultaneously published by Little, Brown Books for Young Readers in the U.S.
