Raymond Briggs’ Father Christmas comes to Little Lyric at the Lyric Hammersmith

A 50-minute adaptation of Raymond Briggs’ much-loved picture book Father Christmas plays the Studio at the Lyric Hammersmith from 18 November to 27 December 2026, as part of Little Lyric. It’s adapted by Pins and Needles and directed by Emma Earle, and it’s aimed at children under 6.

Tickets are £10–£22 (prices increase with demand), and seating is unreserved. The Lyric adds a £2 per basket restoration levy to standard purchases.

WHAT IS FATHER CHRISTMAS ABOUT?

Santa wakes from a dream of sun, sea and sand to find it’s Christmas Eve, the busiest day of the year. He prepares his deliveries, feeds his reindeer and takes flight into the snowy night.

CREATIVE TEAM

The show is designed by Zoe Squire, with music by composer Lucy Rivers, puppet design by Max Humphries, lighting by George Ogilvie and dramaturgy by Adam Peck. Lyric Hammersmith Theatre and Pins and Needles present the show, co-produced with Pins & Needles Productions. No cast has been listed on the Lyric’s website yet.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION FOR FAMILIES
