Then Our Eyes Met – Sharon Sexton and Rob Fowler (new album)

West End Duo Sharon Sexton and Rob Fowler Announce New Album Then Our Eyes Met

Acclaimed West End performers Sharon Sexton and Rob Fowler have announced the release of their brand-new album, Then Our Eyes Met — available from 14 November 2025 on all major digital streaming platforms.

Recorded at The Umbrella Rooms Studios and produced by Ben Robbins, the album features 10 original tracks that showcase the duo’s signature mix of soul, storytelling, and folk-inspired sound.

A Labour of Love from Two of the West End’s Finest

Funded by a devoted community of fans through a successful Kickstarter campaign, Then Our Eyes Met is a true passion project for the couple, capturing their journey both on and off the stage.

From the brass-driven anthem “Soho” to the heartfelt title track “Then Our Eyes Met” and the emotional ballad “Hands of Time”, the record highlights the pair’s dynamic range and the connection that has made them one of the West End’s most beloved partnerships.

Album Launch and Upcoming UK Tour

The duo celebrated the launch of their album with two sold-out performances at London’s Crazy Coqs, where fans were treated to an intimate preview of the new material.

Looking ahead, Sexton and Fowler will embark on a UK tour in Spring 2026, with confirmed dates in Manchester, Edinburgh, and Birmingham, and additional shows planned across Wales and Ireland.

Physical CDs will also be available — perfect for collectors who love a tangible keepsake from the duo’s ever-evolving musical journey.

From Bat Out of Hell to Then Our Eyes Met

The pair are best known for originating the roles of Falco and Sloane in the international smash-hit musical Bat Out of Hell, where their electric on-stage chemistry captivated audiences and critics alike. That spark turned into a real-life romance, and the couple married in 2023.

After completing the latest UK tour of Bat Out of Hell — this time with their young son in tow — the pair have channelled their creative energy into Then Our Eyes Met, marking a bold new chapter in their careers.

The Sound of Connection

Drawing inspiration from Fleetwood Mac, The Civil Wars, and classic rock-folk influences, Sexton and Fowler fuse soulful vocals, intricate harmonies, and timeless songwriting. The album explores love, resilience, and human connection — themes that run through every lyric and melody.

“This album really captures the essence of our journey — both as artists and as a couple,” says Sharon Sexton. “These songs were written in dressing rooms, on beaches, balconies and couches around the world — there’s a lot of us in this album.”

“It’s deeply personal,” adds Rob Fowler, “but we hope listeners will find their own stories in these songs too — that sense of escapism and connection that music brings.”
