Lewis Cope and Jonny Labey will lead the cast for the forthcoming UK tour of Strangers on a Train, Craig Warner’s stage adaptation of Patricia Highsmith’s celebrated novel, famously brought to the screen by Alfred Hitchcock.
Last seen on tour in 2017, Strangers on a Train will be directed by Roxana Silbert, the acclaimed former Artistic Director of Paines Plough, Birmingham Rep and Hampstead Theatre. The production will see Lewis Cope take on the role of Charles Bruno, one of Highsmith’s most chilling and psychologically complex characters, opposite Jonny Labey as Guy Haines, the unsuspecting stranger drawn into his deadly game.
STRANGERS ON A TRAIN
Two strangers meet on a train.
Charles Bruno has an idea: the perfect crime. Two murders. Two strangers. No motive. No connection. No consequences.
Guy Haines dismisses it as a joke. But Bruno isn’t joking. As Bruno’s obsession spirals out of control, Guy finds himself trapped in a nightmare of guilt, manipulation and fear.
