Go Live Theatre Projects announces a Relaxed Performance of Sister Act The Musical!

As part of World Autism Acceptance Week, Go Live Theatre Projects (formerly Mousetrap Theatre Projects) is delighted to announce that its annual relaxed performance for 2024 will be Sister Act The Musical.

Go Live Theatre Projects, a London-based theatre education charity, has been a pioneer in helping to create accessible theatre opportunities for young people and families for 27 years. It hosted the first ever West End Relaxed Performance in 2012 at Shrek The Musical and has been hosting one Relaxed Performance each year since then. It also consults with a range of theatre productions that wish to host their own relaxed performance.  Sister Act The Musical will be Go Live’s 13th Relaxed Performance in the West End.

After selling out a Relaxed Performance of Wicked in June 2023, which saw more than 2,000 individuals attend (including 630 whom had Special Educational Needs and Disabilities), Go Live is delighted to be teaming up this year with the fabulous Sister Act The Musical at London’s Dominion Theatre. Thanks to our generous donors and funders, Go Live is able to offer tickets to this Relaxed Performance at very reduced prices, starting from £7.50, with top priced tickets capped at £17.50. We strongly believe that creating a relaxed environment isn’t enough on its own, unless ensuring that pricing is accessible to all.

This special performance of Sister Act is suitable for young people on the autism spectrum, those with learning disabilities or other sensory and communication needs. Normal rules of ‘theatre etiquette’ don’t apply, which means that young people can stand up, ‘raise their voice’, move around and show their appreciation in any way they wish. There will be some adjustments to lighting and sound, but in all other respects, this very popular musical will remain the brilliant show that has delighted half a million people in London and on tour across the country.
