Adam Pettigrew is currently playing the role of Munchkin Boq in Wicked the Musical.
He recently took 5 minutes out of his day to have Tea With Wilma. Read the exclusive interview below.
How would you describe yourself in 5 words or less?
Short, quirky, cheeky, compact and analyser
Do you have any pre-show rituals?
I don’t have rituals as such, but I tend to get into a routine on each show that I will generally stick to, but more flexible than a ritual.
Can you tell us about the last time something went wrong on stage?
Mistakes happen all the time on stage, that’s the joy of live theatre, most go unnoticed by an audience. Many times I have fallen over, said the wrong line or cracked on a note.
What’s your favourite song in this show?
Hard to say on this show. I enjoy listening to Defying Gravity every night, it’s a great end to the act.
Apart from the show you are in, what current show in London’s West End would you love to work on?
At the moment I think I would like a trip on the Barricades in Les Miserables.
What West End show would you like to see make a comeback and why?
I might have been the only one, but I loved BatBoy.
What was the last West End show you saw (apart from the one you are in) and what did you think of it?
I went to see singing in the rain. I had a great time, went to support some friends and choreographer Andrew Wright. The anticipation of the rain from the audience was magical.
What’s your favourite West End musical song of all time?
There is no way I can pick just one, there are so many great songs that’s why people keep going to the theatre.
Thank you for taking the time to have Tea with Wilma
