The Watermill Theatre announces the cast for the British premiere of Murder For Two, the first production in The Watermill’s 50th anniversary year, celebrating its national and international success as a producing theatre. A recent Off-Broadway hit, Murder For Two will be directed by Luke Sheppard, whose previous productions include the Olivier award-winning musical In The Heights, the 2016 Christmas production of Peter and the Starcatcher (Royal & Derngate), and The Watermill’s 2015 hit production of Oliver! Produced in association with Paul Taylor-Mills, Murder For Two will run at The Watermill opening 26 January to 25 February, and then transfers to The Other Palace (formerly St James Theatre, London).
Ed MacArthur will play the role of Officer Marcus Moscowicz with Jeremy Legat portraying Joe, who plays multiple suspects. Tom Attwood is Musical Director and co-Sound Designer, and design is by Gabriella Slade.
A high-energy musical whodunit, Murder For Two is a murder mystery with a twist. In this acclaimed new musical, two actors play thirteen characters… and the piano. A loving homage to the canon of murder mystery plays, Murder For Two is a blend of music, mayhem and murder.
