AVENUE Q to be revived in the West End for its 20th anniversary

Following the 18th anniversary concert (featuring the original cast) in 2024, it has been announced that Avenue Q will return to London, playing at the Shaftesbury Theatre from 20 March – 29 August 2026.

I first saw Avenue Q in London’s West End during its final stint at the Wyndham’s Theatre in 2010. The tony award winning musical had opened at the Noël Coward Theatre in 2006 and transferred to the Gielgud Theatre, before ending up in its final home at the Wyndham’s.

Fresh out of college and searching for his purpose, Princeton ends up in a shabby apartment on New York’s rundown Avenue Q. He quickly meets his new and colourful neighbours where together they navigate the life struggles of work, love and paying the bills in their own hilarious way.

Featuring hilarious songs like “Everyone’s A Little Bit Racist”, “The Internet Is For Porn”, “My Girlfriend, Who Lives in Canada”, “There’s A Fine, Fine Line”, “Schadenfreude” and “The Money Song”

Avenue Q won the West End Wilma Award for Best Touring Production back in 2014. The award was collected by none other than Kate Monster herself!
