The cheapest tickets you can buy online (through official ticket websites) for theatre shows playing now and coming up include mostly plays (which is understandable given musicals have higher running costs because of the number of additional musicans the show needs) but there are a few musicals in there. The West End transfer of Into The Wood, the revival of Miss Saigon, Lionel Bart’s iconic Oliver! and Roald Dahl’s Matilda can all be seen for £15-£20.
These will likely not be the best seats in the house but if you are looking to see something in London’s glittering West End and can’t stretch to some of the crazy ticket prices out there, these can be a good option.
On the other end of things, some of the more costly tickets you can buy include up to £395 for Jesus Christ Superstar at the London Palladium and £275 to see Sting in his musical The Last Ship at Theatre Royal Drury Lane.
There are, of course, cheaper seats available but these are the shows that have the highest prices for the best seats in the house.
