An array of cabaret, comedy and West End stars will bring songs, laughter, stories and poetry to Vauxhall’s Above The Stag Theatre this May and June. With plenty of queer talent in the mix, this new season of performances follows last year’s very popular inaugural season in the theatre’s new Cabaret Lounge.
With socially distanced, cabaret-style seating and an at-table drinks service, it’s the perfect way to enjoy a much-needed injection of live entertainment.
The line-up includes musical theatre star and Blue member Duncan James; cabaret icon Adèle Anderson; comedy with Zoe Lyons and Vikki Stone; upcoming Hairspray lead Lizzie Bea; and Dear Evan Hansen star (and TikTok sensation) David Breeds. Joining them are many rising, established and award-winning talents in a programme that also takes in sketch comedy and even musical flower arranging.
Above The Stag Theatre recently opened its new Terrace, an outdoor drinks venue in front of the theatre on Albert Embankment, open from 5pm to 10pm Thursdays and Fridays, and 2pm to 10pm on Saturdays and Sundays. From 19 May, the theatre’s spacious indoor bar will also reopen for at-table drinks.
