verb (used with object), understudied, understudying.

to learn (a role) in order to replace the regular actor or actress when necessary.

After a successful sell out show last year at The Arts Theatre London, Ceili has been invited to perform her One Woman show at Century Members Club on Shaftesbury Avenue. This is a role Ceili knows and loves. She has had the opportunity to understudy a couple of the most iconic roles in the West End and on UK tours. However, such is the nature of understudying, Ceili never got the chance to play those parts in front of a live audience. In The Understudy, she will be performing some of those iconic songs. After all, she’s well rehearsed and can finally get the chance to tick them off the bucket list.

With Somewhere over the Rainbow, You must love me to Jackson 5’s ABC & Ariana Grande’s Dangerous Woman, The Understudy promises to be an eclectic mix of music with a few stories & surprises along the way. All under the fantastic Musical Supervision of Tim Evans.

Ceili counts her lucky stars to have had the opportunity to work on these fantastic roles so come and join her in her journey and get an insight to what it’s like to be the one waiting in the wings….
